The fleet

Two airplanes, shared well.

Both aircraft are owned by the club and hangared at Kyle-Oakley Field(KCEY), just outside Murray in Calloway County, Kentucky. Registration details below are current with the FAA Aircraft Registry.

N46283Trainer & cross-country

Cessna 172I Skyhawk

The airplane most American pilots learn in. Forgiving, honest, and cheap to fly — our 172 is the one you will most likely take your first lesson in and the one you will reach for on a calm evening when you just want to go look at the lake.

What members use it for

  • Primary flight training
  • Building time toward a certificate
  • $100 hamburger runs
  • Local sightseeing over Kentucky Lake

Panel and avionics details available on request — ask us and we will send current photos of the panel.

N15744Complex & travel

Piper PA-28R-200 Arrow

Retractable gear, a constant-speed prop, and 200 horsepower. The Arrow is how club members earn their complex endorsement and how they actually get somewhere — it will carry four people and bags at a speed that makes a weekend trip worth taking.

What members use it for

  • Complex endorsement training
  • Commercial certificate requirements
  • Cross-country travel with four aboard
  • Instrument training and currency
Before you fly it: Complex endorsement required. High-performance not required. Club checkout is required for both aircraft regardless of your ratings.
